Comparison

The link shorteners left the low end.
We stayed.

The good link tools have spent the last few years moving upmarket. Cheapest paid plans have climbed to several times what they were, free tiers have quietly become trials, and the features that made them worth using sit behind a plan priced for a company with a procurement process. If you are an indie maker, a small team or an agency running a handful of client campaigns, you were not priced out by accident. You simply stopped being the customer they build for.

Switchly is what that tier of the market still needs: the same shape of product, at $15 a month, with a free plan that is meant to be used rather than to expire.

Side by side

Every figure in the Switchly column is ours and current. The right-hand column describes what is typical across the paid link platforms people move here from, not any one product: they differ, they change their pricing, and you should check whichever one you are actually comparing.

Where another tool is the better choice

If a comparison page only tells you one thing, it is an advert. Some honest reasons to pick something else:

  • You run a partner or affiliate programme

Some platforms have built payouts and partner management directly into the product. We deliberately have not, and we are not planning to.

  • You need conversion and revenue attribution today

The larger platforms have mature conversion tracking. Ours is on the roadmap, which is not the same as shipped.

  • You want the biggest ecosystem

Bigger companies have more integrations, more written about them, and more people who have already solved your edge case.

  • Your budget is not the constraint

If the price difference is noise to you and you want the most established option, that is a perfectly good reason.

Moving over

Import your links from a CSV, point your custom domain at us, and keep your short URLs exactly as they are. The links you have already printed, posted and handed out keep working, which is the whole point of owning the domain.

Historical click data does not come with you. Nobody's does, because analytics live in each provider's own store. Run both for a month if that matters to you.

Try it before you decide

The free plan needs no card and does not expire. Ten links is enough to move a real campaign across and see how it feels.
