We've built our platform with privacy-first principles—we don't use cookies, we don't sell your data, and we don't share your information with third parties. This policy explains exactly what we collect, why we collect it, and how we protect it.

Information You Provide

We only collect information that you explicitly provide to us:

• Account Information: Email address and name when you create an account
• Link Data: URLs, custom slugs, and link settings you configure
• Workspace Data: Workspace names, team member information, and organizational settings

This information is necessary to provide our link management service. You control all the data you create, and you can delete it at any time.

Analytics Data We Collect

To provide you with analytics for your links, we collect anonymous click data:

• Click Events: Timestamp, link ID, and destination URL
• Geographic Data: Country, region, and city (derived from IP address)
• Device Information: Device type, browser, and operating system
• Referrer Data: The website that referred the click
• UTM Parameters: Campaign tracking parameters from your URLs

Important: We hash all IP addresses using SHA-256 before storage to protect visitor privacy. We never store or share raw IP addresses. All analytics data is aggregated and belongs to your workspace—we don't use it for any other purpose.

What We Don't Do

• No Cookies: We don't use cookies or tracking pixels on our platform
• No Third-Party Tracking: We don't integrate with advertising networks or analytics services that track users
• No Data Selling: We never sell, rent, or monetize your data
• No Data Sharing: We don't share your information with third parties except as required by law
• No Cross-Site Tracking: We don't track users across websites or build profiles

How We Use Your Information

We use the information you provide solely to:

• Provide and maintain our link management and analytics services
• Process your link redirects and deliver analytics insights
• Send you service-related communications (account updates, security notices)
• Respond to your support requests and questions
• Improve our platform's performance and reliability

Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored securely using industry-standard practices:

• All data is encrypted in transit using TLS/SSL
• Database access is restricted and monitored
• IP addresses are hashed before storage for privacy
• Regular security audits and updates

We use Supabase for secure data storage, Redis for fast redirects, and Tinybird for real-time analytics processing. All services are hosted on secure, compliant infrastructure.

Your Rights and Control

You have complete control over your data:

• Access: View all your links, workspaces, and analytics data at any time
• Delete: Delete individual links, workspaces, or your entire account
• Export: Export your link data and analytics (coming soon)
• Update: Modify your account information and link settings anytime

Data Retention

We retain your data only as long as necessary to provide our services. When you delete a link or workspace, associated analytics data is also permanently deleted. If you delete your account, all your data is removed within 30 days. Business plan users have extended data retention (3 years) as specified in their plan.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We'll notify you of any material changes by email or through a notice on our platform. Your continued use of Switchly after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
